Julie Dawson Williams is a Bangor native who has been a licensed real estate agent and REALTOR since 2000. Julie graduated from Bangor High School and Bowdoin College. She then worked in the office of U.S. Senator Susan M. Collins in Washington, D.C. as a Legislative Correspondent on healthcare, art, and historic preservation issues. In 2006, Julie started working for the New England Council as Deputy Director of Federal Affairs where she focused on higher education, healthcare, and technology policy. In March of 2008, Julie and her husband, Brian, returned to Bangor, eventually purchasing the family businesses in 2013. Julie and Brian are proud to be the second generation owners and operators of Dawson Inc., a family of companies, including ERA Dawson Bradford Co. REALTORS, Dawson Insurance Agency, and Dawson Commercial Brokers. Over the past decade, Julie has grown the businesses to more than 80 agents & three locations, implemented cutting edge technology services for agents and clients, overseen a refresh of the brand, and redesigned the agent training program. In addition to running her businesses, Julie believes in volunteering in the community. Julie has previously served as a committee member on the City of Bangor Planning Board, a director of Penobscot Theatre Company, the Chair of Fusion:Bangor, and the President of Greater Bangor Association of REALTORS Board. Julie currently serves as a director for Bangor Mechanics Association, a director for Bangor Fuel Society, a director for Maine Real Estate Information System Board, and as Vice Chair of Northern Light Health. Julie lives in Bangor with her husband, two sons, Liam and Mason, and their two dogs.
