Edythe Dyer

Edythe Dyer is a third-generation real estate entrepreneur, agent, and investor from Bangor. She grew up in Hampden and attended John Bapst Memorial High School. She completed high school at St. George’s School in Newport, RI and attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She returns to Bangor after 20 years in Boston with 19 years of experience as a licensed agent. She worked collectively with Sotheby’s International Realty and Cabot & Company in Back Bay, and independently as CEO of her own firm on Newbury Street. She used the name Dyer Realty Interests in honor of her grandfather and father’s real estate company in Bangor. She and her father manage their home in Hulls Cove on Mount Desert Island and have been renting year-round to discerning clients from all over the world for the past 20 years. Edythe was also assistant to two “top 5 brokers in Boston”, employed dozens of agents and employees, and was a consultant to other real estate firms (one of them being an ERA office). She had her first sale within 30 days of opening her own office and has rented hundreds of apartments for owners and investors. She and her husband, Steven Farren of General Mechanix and General Interests LLC, have made it their mission to invest in low-income neighborhoods to revitalize and invigorate Bangor’s housing market. They own and manage dozens of apartments and pride themselves of producing quality new construction apartments and single-family homes. Steve is from Boston and has over 20 years of experience in plumbing, heating, and remodeling. Edythe is a proud member of Bangor’s Committee for Cultural Development and the development and auction committees at John Bapst High School. She enjoys spending time with her time with her family, going to concerts, working as a makeup artist and as field hockey coach at John Bapst High School, and volunteering at the Edythe L. Dyer Library. Her concentration will be on high-end sales and rentals, commercial development, and investor relations in Bangor and its surrounding neighborhoods.
